ETNA Conference 2024

The European Transcultural Nursing Association (ETNA) is a professional organisation focused on advancing the field of transcultural nursing across Europe. Its aim is to promote an understanding of cultural differences and their impact on healthcare, with an emphasis on providing culturally competent care to diverse populations. ETNA works to enhance the knowledge, skills, and attitudes of healthcare professionals by offering education, research, and networking opportunities related to transcultural nursing.

Transcultural nursing itself involves understanding how culture influences health behaviours, attitudes towards illness, and the provision of care. The association encourages healthcare providers to consider cultural factors in their clinical practice and work towards reducing health disparities among different cultural groups.

ETNA plays a key role in fostering collaboration among nurses and other healthcare professionals across Europe, promoting research in the field, and advocating for the integration of cultural competence into nursing education and practice.

The brief

to design and produce a range of promotional materials to advertise and disseminate information about the European Transcultural Nursing Association’s (ETNA) 9th International Conference, hosted at Middlesex University London in June 2024. These materials will include a conference brochure, book of abstracts, flyers, and website updates. The materials will effectively promote the conference, highlight key sessions, and provide essential information to prospective delegates, speakers, and participants.

Key Deliverables

  • Conference Brochure:

    • A professionally designed brochure that provides detailed information about the 9th International Conference, including the conference theme, key topics, speakers, venue details, and registration information.
    • The brochure will also feature a section on conference highlights, important dates, and a brief overview of the conference schedule.
    • The design will align with ETNA’s branding guidelines, reflecting the conference’s academic and professional nature.
  • Book of Abstracts:

    • A well-organised, easy-to-read book of abstracts containing the abstracts submitted for the conference.
    • The book will include an introduction, a full list of conference sessions, and details about the authors and their presentations.
    • The format will ensure that all abstracts are clearly presented and accessible to conference attendees, both digitally and in print.
  • Flyers:

    • Eye-catching, concise flyers to advertise the conference. These will be distributed both online and in print to promote the event to a wider audience.
    • Flyers will include key conference information, call-to-action buttons for registration, and highlight special guest speakers or notable sessions.
  • Website Updates:

    • Regular updates to the ETNA website to ensure that the latest conference details, including speaker profiles, schedule updates, registration deadlines, and other important announcements, are prominently featured.
    • Ensure the website is easy to navigate with clear calls to action for registration, abstract submission, and information on travel and accommodation.

Design and Branding Guidelines:

  • All promotional materials will adhere to ETNA’s established branding guidelines, including the use of logo, colour schemes, fonts, and imagery.
  • The materials will be visually engaging, professional, and aligned with the academic tone of the conference, while also ensuring accessibility for a diverse, international audience.
  • Consistency across all materials is crucial, ensuring that the conference’s identity is clear across different platforms and formats.
