North Central London Integrated Care System (NCL ICS) brings together NHS organisations and partners across the region to improve health and care services. As part of its workforce development programme, NCL ICS commissioned the creation of a Practice Learning Hub and Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) hosted on the My Care Academy platform to support the professional development of healthcare staff.
The initiative involved collaboration between several NHS partners, including North Middlesex University Hospital, University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Whittington Health, Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust, and Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health NHS Trust.
The brief
The project required the development of a digital learning platform that would enable healthcare professionals to access structured training resources online. The system needed to support flexible learning, allowing staff to complete courses at their own pace while providing a central hub for learning materials, blogs, events and updates.
